Website Development Cost in Dubai
What a website costs in Dubai depends less on page count than on unique templates, content, integrations, Arabic and migration. This guide explains each driver and sets out three scope tiers so you can place your own project.
The short answer
A website's cost is mostly the time needed to design and build distinct page types, prepare content, connect other systems and move anything that already exists. Two sites with twenty pages can differ several times over in cost: one reuses three templates with supplied copy, the other has twelve unique layouts, bilingual content, a CRM integration and three hundred old URLs to redirect.
The scope tiers below show how those choices combine. We don't publish a price list, because two projects in the same tier can differ widely once content, integrations and migration are counted. Use the tiers to place your project and to see which decisions move it up or down.
This guide describes scope, not prices. A quotation follows a scoping call and states exact deliverables, exclusions, timeline and payment terms.
Assumptions behind the tiers
- Quotations are in AED, with VAT added on top.
- Design is custom to your brand, built on a CMS your team can edit.
- You supply final text and images unless the tier says otherwise.
- Hosting, domains and third-party licences are separate ongoing costs, covered further down.
- Online stores follow different drivers and are not covered by these tiers.
What changes the budget
- Unique templates, not page count
- A home page, a service page layout and a contact page are three templates. Fifty service pages built on one template cost far less than fifteen bespoke layouts.
- Content
- Writing, translating and sourcing photography often takes longer than the build. If copy is not ready, it becomes the schedule. See website copywriting.
- Arabic and right-to-left layout
- A proper Arabic version needs mirrored layouts, Arabic typography, translated navigation and forms, and separate SEO metadata. It is closer to a second site than a toggle. See multilingual website development.
- Integrations
- Each connection to a CRM, booking system, property feed or payment gateway adds build and testing time, and some need ongoing maintenance.
- CMS choice
- WordPress, Webflow and headless CMS options differ in build effort, licence fees and editing experience. Our comparisons of WordPress and Webflow and headless and traditional CMS set out the trade-offs.
- Migration
- Moving content from an old site, mapping redirects and protecting search traffic is its own workstream. See redesigning without losing SEO.
- Performance, accessibility and tracking
- Meeting Core Web Vitals targets, accessibility checks and a working analytics and conversion setup add testing time, and pay back in fewer problems later.
- Support and handover
- Training your editors, documenting how the CMS works and a warranty period after launch are part of the cost. Longer support, with updates, backups and small changes, is priced separately as a monthly plan.
Scope tiers
Each tier describes a typical scope. Find the closest match, then look at the drivers that would push your project towards the next one.
| Tier | What it includes | What pushes it up |
|---|---|---|
| Lean | English only, 5 to 10 pages on 3 to 4 templates, content supplied, contact form, basic analytics, WordPress or Webflow | Extra templates, copywriting by us, a booking or WhatsApp entry point, a second language |
| Standard | English and Arabic with RTL layouts, 15 to 25 pages on 6 to 8 templates, editable CMS with news and careers, one CRM integration, conversion tracking and landing page templates | Translation handled by us, more integrations, migrating an existing site, a custom design system |
| Advanced | Headless CMS or custom data model, listings or directory with filters, an external data feed, redesign of an existing site of 150 to 300 URLs with content migration, redirect map and SEO checks before and after launch | Number of URLs to migrate, feed complexity and update frequency, strict performance or uptime targets, several connected systems |
Most projects sit in one tier with one or two drivers from the next, and the drivers decide the price more than the tier label does. A Lean site with fifty supplied pages on one template can cost less than a Standard site with twelve bespoke layouts. We give a fixed quote after a scoping call.
Online stores follow different drivers (catalogue size, payment and shipping, ERP sync) and have their own ecommerce cost guide. For a quick first figure, try the website cost calculator.
Ongoing costs after launch
| Item | What it covers | How it is calculated |
|---|---|---|
| Hosting | Managed WordPress, Webflow site plan or cloud hosting for a headless front end, including SSL and backups | A monthly or annual plan from the host or platform, tiered by traffic, storage and whether a staging site is included. A headless build adds separate lines for the front end and the CMS. |
| Domain and email | Domain renewal (.ae or .com) and business email accounts | An annual renewal set by the registrar, plus a per-user monthly or annual fee for each email mailbox. |
| Licences | Premium plugins, CMS seats, form or booking tools | Per-tool subscriptions, often priced per site or per seat. List every tool the build depends on, because each renews separately. |
| Maintenance | Updates, security patches, uptime monitoring and small fixes | A monthly plan sized by how many plugins and integrations need updating, the monitoring required and the hours of fixes included. |
| Content and improvements | New pages, landing pages and conversion work | Quoted per piece of work, or a monthly block of hours if you add content regularly. |
Our website maintenance service and the maintenance cost guide cover this in more depth.
Where to spend and where to save
| Choice | Lower cost | Higher cost | When the higher cost is worth it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Design | Adapted theme | Custom design system | When the site is a main sales channel or brand differentiation matters |
| Arabic | English first, Arabic later | Bilingual at launch | When a large share of your buyers search or read in Arabic |
| Content | You write, we edit | We write and translate | When copy is the bottleneck or your team has no time |
| Platform | WordPress or Webflow | Headless CMS with custom front end | When you need custom data, heavy traffic or multiple channels from one CMS |
Cutting integrations or tracking usually saves the least in the long run, because leads then end up in inboxes and you cannot see which pages produce enquiries. Our WordPress versus custom development comparison helps if you are deciding on platform.
Comparing quotes from Dubai agencies
- How many unique templates are included, and what happens if you need another?
- Is the Arabic version fully designed for right-to-left, or translated text in an English layout?
- Who writes, translates and uploads content?
- Are redirects, analytics and conversion tracking included?
- What are the hosting and licence costs in year two, and who owns the accounts?
- What does post-launch support cover, and for how long?
A website development brief makes quotes comparable, because every agency prices the same scope.
Questions buyers ask
Why do quotes for the same site vary so much?
They rarely cover the same scope. One may assume a purchased theme and your content, another custom design, copywriting and migration. Compare line by line against a written brief.
Is a cheaper site on a builder good enough?
For a simple presence with few pages and no integrations, often yes. It becomes limiting when you need Arabic done properly, CRM integration, custom page types or control over performance.
Does adding Arabic double the cost?
Not usually, because templates and integrations are shared. But layout mirroring, translation, QA in both languages and separate SEO work add a meaningful share, which is why a properly bilingual site usually starts at the Standard tier.
How long does a website take to build?
It depends on scope and, above all, on when content is ready. We give a timeline with the quotation once content responsibilities are agreed.
Do you include SEO?
Every build includes technical foundations: clean URLs, metadata, sitemaps, redirects and speed. Ongoing search work is a separate service, and nobody can honestly guarantee rankings.
