Analytics & Conversion Tracking for Dubai & UAE Businesses

Many UAE business websites record page views and a vague contact event, while the important question goes unanswered: which campaigns brought the customers who actually paid. We set up GA4, Google Tag Manager, consent and conversion events, then connect them to your CRM so leads and sales are measured separately.

Signs your measurement needs fixing

  • Google Ads and GA4 report different conversion numbers, and nobody can explain the gap.
  • Every form submission counts as a conversion, including spam and job applications.
  • Calls and WhatsApp chats generate most of your business but appear nowhere in reporting.
  • Your CRM shows closed deals, but not which channel or campaign they came from.
  • The site has a cookie banner, but tags fire whether or not visitors accept.
  • Tracking was set up by someone who has left, and there is no documentation.

If you are about to rebuild the site, include this work in the project rather than retrofitting it. Our website redesign process keeps tracking continuous across launch.

Start with a measurement plan

Before touching tags, we write down what the business needs to know and which events answer it. The plan becomes the documentation your team keeps.

Example events for a lead-generation site
EventRecorded whenWhy it matters
generate_leadA form submits successfully, not when the button is clickedThe core lead signal, with form type and service as parameters
click_to_callA visitor taps a phone linkShows call intent from mobile visitors
whatsapp_clickA visitor opens a WhatsApp chat linkShows chat intent, often the main channel in the UAE
book_callA scheduling tool confirms a bookingA stronger signal than a form submission
qualified_leadSales marks the lead as qualified in the CRMSeparates real opportunities from noise
closed_wonA deal is won in the CRMRevenue that can be tied back to source

The last two events happen in the CRM, not on the website. Bringing them back into reporting is what turns traffic data into business data.

Connecting web events to CRM outcomes

Attribution starts at the form. We capture UTM parameters, the landing page and ad click IDs such as gclid, gbraid, wbraid and fbclid, store them in first-party cookies, and pass them into hidden form fields. The CRM, whether HubSpot, Zoho CRM, Salesforce or another system, keeps them on the contact and deal records. When a lead becomes a qualified opportunity or a sale, that outcome can be sent back to Google Ads through offline conversion imports and to Meta through the Conversions API, so bidding optimises for customers rather than form fills.

Calls and WhatsApp are harder. Call tracking with dynamic numbers can tie phone enquiries to sources, and WhatsApp clicks can be recorded, but the conversation itself happens outside the website. We document exactly what is and is not attributable, so nobody reads more certainty into the reports than they contain.

No attribution model is complete, and we do not promise one will prove a return on investment. The goal is decisions based on qualified leads and revenue instead of clicks. See CRM implementation if the CRM itself needs work first, and Google Ads to HubSpot for that specific connection.

Validation before sign-off

  1. Tag Manager preview

Each trigger tested on every page type, including Arabic pages and thank-you states.

  2. GA4 DebugView

Events and parameters checked for correct names, values and no duplicates.

  3. Consent test matrix

Accept, reject and partial consent tested across browsers, confirming tags behave as configured.

  4. CRM record check

Test leads traced from submission to CRM with source fields filled.

  5. Ad platform diagnostics

Conversion actions confirmed as receiving data in Google Ads and Meta.

  6. Documentation

Measurement plan, container notes and a re-test checklist for future site releases.

Scope, cost and proof

Included: measurement plan, GA4 and Tag Manager configuration or clean-up, consent set-up, conversion events, CRM field mapping, offline conversion set-up where your ad accounts support it, validation and documentation. Excluded: managing ad campaigns (see Google Ads), running conversion experiments (see conversion rate optimisation), custom reporting beyond a basic Looker Studio view (see business intelligence dashboards) and legal advice on privacy.

Cost depends on the number of forms and conversion points, languages and domains, the CRM and ad platforms involved, whether server-side tagging is used and how much existing set-up has to be untangled. We give a fixed quote after a scoping call. See case studies, or request a project proposal with read access to GA4 and Tag Manager.

Questions buyers ask

Why do GA4 and Google Ads show different numbers?

They count differently: attribution models, conversion windows, consent-based modelling and time zones all vary. We align definitions where possible and document the remaining differences.

Do we need a cookie banner in the UAE?

The PDPL sets consent and transparency requirements for processing personal data, and many sites also receive visitors covered by GDPR. We implement consent; your legal adviser should confirm the wording and categories.

Can you track WhatsApp conversations?

We can record clicks to WhatsApp and pass source details into the chat or CRM in some set-ups. The conversation outcome depends on how your team logs it, which we can help design.

Is server-side tagging necessary?

Not for most sites. It helps when you need tighter control over data sent to third parties or more resilient measurement, and it adds hosting cost and maintenance.

Will this improve our advertising results?

It gives the ad platforms and your team better information. Whether results improve depends on the campaigns and sales process, so we do not promise a specific outcome.
