Odoo Implementation for Dubai & UAE Businesses
We implement Odoo for UAE businesses that want CRM, sales, stock, accounting and point of sale in one system. We start with the modules that remove the most manual work, configure before we customise, and roll out in phases so the business keeps running while the system changes underneath it.
When Odoo is the right choice
- Trading, distribution and retail businesses where the CRM, quotation, stock and invoice need to share one record.
- Companies outgrowing a separate CRM, spreadsheet inventory and standalone accounting software, and tired of reconciling them each month.
- Service and construction businesses that need projects, purchasing and timesheets tied to invoicing.
- Not a fit when you only need a sales CRM: HubSpot or Zoho CRM are simpler to run for that. See HubSpot implementation and Zoho CRM implementation.
We implement Odoo as an independent studio and do not claim Odoo partner status. Enterprise subscriptions are bought from Odoo in your name.
Community or Enterprise
| Odoo Community | Odoo Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|
| Licence | Open source, no licence fee | Paid subscription, priced by Odoo per user and plan |
| Accounting | Invoicing and basic accounting; full accounting and reports need community add-ons | Full accounting, bank reconciliation and localised tax reports |
| Studio and extras | Not included; changes need developers | Studio for no-code fields and views, plus apps not in Community |
| Hosting | Self-hosted only | Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or self-hosted |
| Version upgrades | You manage them, including custom and third-party modules | Upgrade service from Odoo for standard modules; custom code is still yours to migrate |
Community looks cheaper until accounting, reporting and upgrades are added back through third-party modules and developer time. Enterprise costs a subscription but removes much of that. We compare the two against your actual module list during discovery, not in general.
Modules we implement
- CRM
- Pipelines, lead assignment by team, activity types, and lead capture from your website forms. WhatsApp enquiries can be connected through an integration on the WhatsApp Business Platform, as described on our WhatsApp automation page.
- Sales
- Quotation templates, pricelists in AED and other currencies, discounts with approval rules, and online quote signature and payment where your payment provider is supported.
- Inventory
- Warehouses and locations, routes for receipt and delivery, lots or serial numbers where you need traceability, reordering rules, and delivery handoff to your courier.
- Accounting with UAE VAT
- Odoo's UAE localisation as the starting point: chart of accounts, VAT taxes and fiscal positions, TRN on partners and invoices, and VAT reporting. Your accountant approves the tax setup and opening balances.
- Point of sale
- Shops and counters, card terminals where supported, cash control, receipts in English and Arabic, and stock that updates from each sale.
- Purchase and other apps
- Purchasing, projects, timesheets or helpdesk when they are part of the process we are fixing, added in a later phase rather than all at once.
Configuration before customisation
Every Odoo module has a large set of settings, and most requirements can be met by configuring them. Custom modules are code that has to be tested, hosted and migrated at every version upgrade, so each one has a running cost. Our rule is to change the process to fit standard Odoo where the difference does not matter to your customers, and to customise only where it does.
When customisation is justified, such as a pricing rule specific to your trade, an integration with a courier or marketplace, or a report your bank requires, we write it as a separate module in version control, with tests and a note on what it depends on. External connections are built as part of our API integration work, and the rules between records inside Odoo follow the same approach as our CRM automation.
Data migration and hosting
- Master data
- Customers, suppliers, products, pricelists and chart of accounts, cleaned and deduplicated before import.
- Opening balances
- Stock quantities and valuations, open receivables and payables, and trial balance at the cut-over date, reconciled with your accountant.
- History
- Open deals, quotes and orders migrate; closed history usually stays in an archive export unless it is needed for reporting.
- Odoo Online
- Hosted by Odoo, with the least maintenance. It does not accept custom code modules, so it suits standard setups.
- Odoo.sh
- Odoo's platform for Enterprise with custom modules, staging branches and backups managed on the platform.
- Self-hosted
- On your own server or cloud account, including UAE regions where data location matters for your PDPL assessment. You or we take on updates, backups and monitoring under a support agreement.
Phased rollout
Discovery and fit-gap
We map your processes against standard Odoo and list each gap as configure, change process or customise.
Phase 1: core
Usually CRM, Sales and Accounting, or Inventory and POS for retail, live on a fixed cut-over date, often a month or quarter start to keep VAT periods clean.
Phase 2: operations
Inventory, Purchase or Projects added once the first phase is stable and the team trusts the data.
Phase 3: integrations and extras
Online store, marketplaces, couriers, payment providers and reporting beyond the standard set.
Training and support
Role-based training before each phase goes live, a hypercare period after, and a written admin guide.
Pricing depends on the number of modules and phases, the Community or Enterprise choice, the amount of customisation, the data to migrate, the hosting model and the number of users to train. We give a fixed quote per phase after the fit-gap review. Excluded: Odoo subscription fees, hosting charges, third-party app licences, and bookkeeping or VAT filing.
Questions buyers ask
Are you an Odoo partner?
We do not claim partner status. We implement Odoo as an independent studio, and your Enterprise subscription, if you choose one, is held directly with Odoo.
Is Odoo Community enough for a UAE business?
For CRM, sales and basic invoicing it can be. Once you need full accounting, UAE VAT reporting and easy upgrades, Enterprise is usually cheaper overall than rebuilding those pieces with add-ons.
Does Odoo handle UAE VAT?
Odoo has a UAE localisation with VAT taxes, TRN fields and reporting. Your accountant decides the tax treatment; we configure Odoo to match and test it with sample invoices before go-live.
Can we go live with everything at once?
It is possible, but risky for a business that has to keep trading. A phased rollout lets the team learn one part properly and keeps problems contained.
What happens at the next Odoo version?
Standard modules upgrade with Odoo's tools or upgrade service. Custom modules need to be migrated and retested, which is one reason we keep customisation small and documented.
Can Odoo connect to our online store and couriers?
Yes, through Odoo's own connectors where they exist or through integrations we build. We check the connector for each platform before promising a flow.
Send us your current systems, the modules you think you need and your user count. We will start with a fit-gap review. Get a proposal.
